Google Street View of Windsor Online

We’ve been waiting for this for a while, but Google Street View’s drive through Windsor is now up online and available.

Google’s tour took place in the midst of our 101 city workers strike, but too early into it to have (and thanks to the note from Steven) caught our Naturalized Area signs. At any rate, I’m looking forward to having the time to go through our city from seven months ago and explore.

It might also be a good way to start brainstorming for our upcoming Sites of Apology / Sites of Hope event!

So, start exploring.

  1. Oh wow, what timing. On another note, I hope to see everyone on Feb 26th for the free screening of My Tale of Two Cities, sponsored by WIFF.

  2. definitely! This great film, presented by Downtown Windsor BIA, chronicles Carl Kurlander’s (of St. Elmo’s Fire, Saved by the Bell fame) return to Pittsburgh from Hollywood. Both he and his city were in mid-life crisis… after the screening, there will be a panel discussion with audience participation featuring Carl (live and in person!) and special local visionaries (to be announced soon) called “What Windsor Can Learn From Pittsburgh’s Comeback”.

  3. There’s also an opening at the AGW that night … too many good things happening! At the very least, hopefully we can make the discussion panel … sounds like it could be totally inspiring!

  4. what’s the AGW opening? i went on their website and it said there was a friday’s live event including opening reception but no details about what it was.
At least the gallery’s very close by so try to make it for the panel discussion which will probably start around 8:30.
