Seed Bomb Demo!!!

Broken City Lab's seedbomb recipe

Broken City Lab held its first public demo today—we showed incoming visual arts students how to make seedbombs! Here’s our recipe: 1 part seeds, 1 part clay, 1 part coffee grounds, 8 parts soil, 1 part water

wildflower seeds and origami instructions

We used drought-tolerant wildflower seeds from Vesey’s and origami instructions from Michelle’s sister.

First, we taught everyone how to make a box to hold the seedbombs in afterwards. We learned it pays to make good folds.

A student’s successful seedbombs.

Really successful morning, I think between the demos and the present ation I gave, lots of people are interested in the lab and making things happen (and grow). Tomorrow night is the Dance Party!!!!!!
